Located in Slidell, Louisiana at 1045 Florida Avenue directly behind Slidell Memorial Hospital, Memorial Hospice and Palliative Care has been providing comfort and palliative care to the community for over 24 years now. Originally known as Slidell Memorial Hospice which began to treat patients in 1986, the organization became Memorial Hospice and Palliative Care in 2003. Only the name changed as the same caring team of professionals has been committed to the principles of comfort or palliative care for Slidell and the entire Northshore community, as well as Metro New Orleans and Southwest Mississippi. We have always been community oriented and remain very active in supporting the communities we serve.

We are licensed to provide care to patients in Louisiana and Mississippi. Our office hours are 8:00AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. A Registered Nurse is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, holidays included. Referrals or inquiries can be called in at any time.

Your care will be provided by our local team of dedicated staff members. This includes nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains and volunteers available to assist patients and families with palliative care needs. Besides your physician, our Medical Directors actively participate in your care. Our Medical Directors include Dr. Augustin Suarez and Dr John C. Oubre.. Dr. Suarez is Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Care and has been with us since the inception of the Agency .He is assisted by our Associate Medical Director Dr. John C. Oubre. We are confident with our 24 years of experience in end of life care that we can meet all your palliative care needs.

Our service area includes the following parishes: Jefferson, Orleans, St. Bernard, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington.
